History
IESF’s purpose began over seven years ago with a small group of
California and Colorado firefighters who decided to do something to
help a community in need.
IESF works with community volunteers in Mexico conducting regional
training academies. IESF trains hundreds of foreign emergency
service providers every year.
Over the last seven years members of what is now IESF have
donated thousands of hours of their personal time to help deliver
much needed training and equipment to the Yucatan region in
Mexico.
In May of 2006 IESF was allowed to operate as a nonprofit entity of
the Emergency Services Foundation.
IESF has now completed nine training academies, and is in the
process of planning for the tenth.
